Steve’s Run is a special run or walk which is held on the original Road ‘n Trail course that starts and finishes in downtown Dowagiac. This event will again be conducted in conjunction with the Dowagiac Summer in the City festival.
Dowagiac, Michigan is located in the scenic resort area of Southwest Michigan and is 30 minutes north of South Bend/Mishawaka/Notre Dame and 45 minutes east of the beautiful sunset coast of Lake Michigan.

Only finishers who pre-register prior to 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 24 will be guaranteed a Steve’s Run T-shirt.
Events
10K Run / 5K Run / 5K Walk
All three events will start simultaneously at 9 a.m. EDT.
Fun Run (1K)
The Dogpatch Derby 1K fun run begins at 9:03 a.m. EDT. Ribbons are given to all finishers. The entry fee for the Dogpatch Derby Fun Run is 50 cents. Registration is between 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. at Front Street Crossing, Cass County Council on Aging on Saturday.
Teams
Corporate, club, and educator teams must complete the Team Score Card which can be picked up at the team table during pre-race registration on Friday and Saturday. Two-person family teams do not have to submit a Team Score Card.
Corporate, educators, and club teams may have an unlimited number of names on the roster and the five best times will count.
Two person teams with multiple sons or daughters may count the fastest. The team captain is responsible for completing and turning in the Team Score Card after the race.

All funds raised from the race, including 100 percent of the pledge money, will be donated equally (unless otherwise noted) to the Mayo Clinic Cancer Research and/or the Steven Briegel Scholarship.
